Content
- Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains 50 /mg atenolol, a beta-1 selective beta-blocker.
- Excipients: Includes lactose monohydrate (101.75 /mg per tablet).
- Formulation: White, circular, biconvex, uncoated tablets with ‘FIL’ engraved above the score line and ‘50’ below the score line on one side.
Indications
- Hypertension: Used to lower high blood pressure.
- Angina Pectoris: Helps in the management of chest pain.
- Cardiac Arrhythmias: Assists in controlling irregular heartbeats.
- Post-Myocardial Infarction: Aids in the secondary prevention of heart attacks.
Instructions for Use
- Dosage:
- Hypertension: Start with 25–50 /mg once daily; may increase to 100 /mg once daily.
- Angina Pectoris: 50 /mg once daily; may increase to 100 /mg once daily or 50 /mg twice daily.
- Cardiac Arrhythmias: 50–100 /mg once daily.
- Post-Myocardial Infarction: 100 /mg once daily or 50 /mg twice daily for 6–9 days.
- Administration: Take with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double doses.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and out of reach of children.
