3Wire RS2ZBEE is an industrial Zigbee serial device server for connecting serial field devices such as PLCs, meters, sensors, controllers, protection relays and Modbus RTU devices over a Zigbee wireless network.

It is designed for applications where cable installation is difficult, expensive or impractical. RS2ZBEE allows serial devices to be accessed from LAN / WLAN systems through Zigbee communication, while supporting direct TCP/IP access, Virtual COM operation, Modbus TCP gateway function and multiple wireless network modes.

Product Overview

RS2ZBEE provides a practical way to connect field devices without running long serial communication cables. A host PC, PLC or SCADA system can access remote serial devices through a Zigbee wireless link using direct IP communication or Virtual COM operation.

The gateway supports RS232, RS485 and RS422 devices and can operate in Modbus TCP Master, Modbus TCP Slave, Paired Mode and Bridge Mode. This makes it suitable for industrial communication retrofit, wireless Modbus extension and multi-device data collection.
