Schneider Electric PowerLogic PM5000 Series meters are high-performance, cost-effective power and energy meters for LV and MV electrical monitoring applications. The range supports panel metering, sub-metering, basic power quality visibility, demand monitoring, alarming, data logging and energy management system integration.
The PM5000 family includes PM5100, PM5300, PM5500, PM5600 and PM5700 series models, with options for RS485, Ethernet, Class 0.5S or Class 0.2S energy accuracy, harmonics up to 15th, 31st or 63rd order, digital I/O, relay outputs, data logging and remote display configurations.

Product Overview
The PowerLogic PM5000 Series is designed for electrical distribution monitoring, energy visibility and basic power quality analysis. It allows facility, energy and electrical teams to monitor current, voltage, power, power factor, energy, demand, unbalance, harmonics, alarms and historical logs depending on the selected model.
The range is suitable for LV and MV systems, including main incomers, sub-main feeders, MCC panels, distribution boards, tenant metering, utility metering points, production areas and critical electrical loads. The PM5000 Series also supports IEC 61557-12 performance-based metering requirements, allowing meter readings to be more comparable when connected under the same conditions.
Positioning: PowerLogic PM5000 Series meters are suitable for basic multi-function metering, energy monitoring, demand management, power factor review, basic power quality visibility, sub-metering and IoTWatt 4.0 integration.
Typical Monitoring Architecture
PM5000 meters are installed at the electrical panel and communicate through RS485 or Ethernet, depending on the selected model. Meter data can be collected by EMS, BMS, SCADA, EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert, IoTWatt 4.0 or other Modbus-based monitoring systems.

Power Quality and Network Visibility
PM5000 meters provide basic power quality visibility for electrical networks. Depending on model, the meters support total harmonic distortion, total demand distortion, individual harmonics, unbalance, min/max readings, demand values, alarm logs and event logs.

Integration with IoTWatt 4.0
IoTWatt 4.0 can collect PM5000 meter data through RS485 Modbus, Ethernet Modbus TCP or a suitable gateway depending on the selected model. The collected data can be used for continuous energy monitoring, digital energy audit, EECA reporting, demand analytics and savings verification.
