The Festo HGL is a piloted check valve featuring an unlockable non-return function designed for short-duration positioning and braking in pneumatic drives . Compressed air flows freely to and from the drive as long as a pilot signal is applied; when the pilot signal is removed, the valve shuts off exhaust air and stops actuator movement . Available with push-in or threaded connections, this screw-in valve also supports manual exhaust via a separate accessory .
