 Material Composition and Technical Construction

PTFE (C F )n is a fully fluorinated polymer consisting of carbon and fluorine atoms bonded in a linear chain structure. The strong C–F bond energy (485 kJ/mol) gives PTFE its unique combination of stability, chemical inertness, and non-stick surface behavior.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Cold Compression Moulding of PTFE resin powder.
  2. Sintering at 360°C–380°C to achieve uniform density and crystallinity.
  3. Cooling & Annealing under controlled conditions to prevent warping.
  4. Skiving / Sheet Cutting into precision thicknesses (0.5mm – 6mm).
  5. Surface Finishing for uniform gloss and smoothness.

 Key Technical Properties of PTFE Sheet

1. Chemical Inertness

PTFE’s unique molecular structure makes it resistant to strong acids, alkalis, oxidizers, and organic solvents, including hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulphuric acid, ammonia, acetone, benzene, and petroleum derivatives.
This makes it an ideal lining or gasket material for chemical plants in Bintulu, Miri, Labuan, and Brunei’s Seria industrial zone.

2. Thermal Stability

With a continuous working range of -180°C to +260°C, PTFE performs flawlessly in cryogenic systemsheat-sealing bars, and high-temperature chemical reactors.

  1. Cutting:

  3. Machining:
