Broadox® is an insecticide marketed by Agrichem / ACM in Malaysia.
It is a mixture insecticide formulated especially for use in paddy (rice) to control planthoppers (rice hoppers) — referred to in local sources as “bena-bena padi.”
The active ingredient is buprofezin, an insect growth regulator (IGR).
As an IGR, Broadox works by interfering with the development / moulting of insect nymphs, inhibiting their growth rather than causing immediate knock-down mortality.

It does not act quickly as an immediate-knockdown toxin; rather it suppresses population growth over time by disrupting growth and reproduction.
