The U series square body, metric worm gear, uses a modular design that excels in flexibility. Its light weight design saves time and money, especially when compared to American cast iron designs, and is perfect for commercial and industrial applications. It offers ratios up to 8,000:1 and a torque range of 140-26,500 lb. inch. It is available as single worm reduction, helical-worm reduction and double worm reduction. The MU series metric design is interchangeable with international brands, including W and NMRV type series, and is available from U.S. inventory.
Single reduction worm gear is available in 7 sizes, with input power ratings of 1/8th-25HP. It comes standard with a keyed hollow bore, ratios from 7.5:1 – 100:1. It uses standard B5 or B14 motors, and has optional output flanges, plug-in output shafts (single or double), and torque limiter.
