Filter Out 60Hz NoiseAlthough the Fox 2 is not affected by 60Hz noise, the Hound 3 will pick it up and amplify it. A bypass filter is built in to suppress the humming and buzzing usually associated with 60Hz noise while improving sensitivity to the Fox 2 Toner. |
Built-In Signal Strength Indicator and HeadlightA bright red LED signal strength indicator maintains sensitivity, even when an earphone is used. A built-in headlight allows you to illuminate dark areas and reduce fluorescent light noise interference with the press of a button. |
Built-In Signal Strength Indicator and HeadlightThe Hound 3 features a rugged and moisture-resistant 1.5-inch Mylar cone speaker with a high strength alnico magnet. For quiet or noisy environments, the Hound 3 accepts earphones with a standard 1/8-inch (3.5 millimeter) mini phone plug in either mono or stereo. Earphones with shielded wires are recommended to reduce the possibility of feedback from the cable to the probe tip. |
