Used for the symptomatic relief of:
Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (e.g., sneezing, nasal/ocular itching, runny nose)
Idiopathic chronic urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin conditions
Dosage:
Adults & children ≥ /12 years: 10 /mg once daily
Children aged 2–12 years (> /30 /kg): 10 /mg once daily; (< /30 /kg): 5 /mg once daily
Severe hepatic or renal impairment: Start at 5 /mg once daily or 10 /mg every other day
Administration: Swallow whole with water; may be taken with or without food; take at the same time daily for consistent relief
Missed Dose: Take as soon as you remember unless it's near the next dose—do not double up.
Special precautions:
Patients with liver or kidney issues should use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed
Discontinue 48 /hrs before allergy skin testing to avoid false results
Use with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding—only if clearly needed
Avoid activities requiring full alertness if drowsiness occurs
