Stada Acyclovir Cream is indicated for:
Treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin, including initial and recurrent genital herpes and cold sores (herpes labialis)
How to Apply
For external use only. Apply a thin film of cream to the affected area five times daily, approximately every 4 hours, for 5 days; extend for another 5 days if lesions do not fully heal
Apply gently to clean, dry skin and wash hands before and after use
Avoid contact with mucous membranes (e.g. inside mouth, eyes, genitals)
Precautions & Storage
Do not use if allergic to acyclovir or valacyclovir
Use with caution in immunocompromised patients, and avoid sun exposure to the treated area .
Recommended storage: sealed, in a dry place, < /30 /°C, away from light .
Safety in Special Populations
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed, under medical supervision .
Safety in children under 12 years has not been established .
