Amoxicillin

Indication

Sandoz Ospamox is used for treating infections caused by certain bacteria. It is also used with other medicines to treat Helicobacter pylori infection and ulcers of the small intestines. Sandoz Ospamox is a penicillin antibiotic. It works by killing sensitive bacteria.

Instruction

Use Sandoz Ospamox as directed by your doctor.

• Take Sandoz Ospamox by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
• To clear up your infection completely, take Sandoz Ospamox for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
• If you miss a dose of Sandoz Ospamox, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Drug interaction

Sandoz Ospamox is not known to decrease effect of birth control pills, increases absorption of digoxin, increases toxicity of metotrexate. Excretion of Amoxicillin by kidneys is slowed by aspirin.
