Schneider Electric PowerLogic PM8000 Series meters are advanced power quality and high-accuracy energy meters for critical electrical networks. The PM8000 range provides Class 0.2S energy accuracy, advanced power quality monitoring, waveform capture, sag / swell detection, disturbance direction detection, configurable logging, alarms, dual Ethernet, RS485 and cybersecurity features.
The PM8000 Series is available in three feature levels: PM8000 Essential, PM8000 Standard and PM8000 Advanced. Each feature level is available in multiple mounting and power supply variants, including 96 mm × 96 mm panel mount, DIN rail mount, DIN rail with remote display, AC/DC control power, LVdc control power, MID-approved variants and RMICAN variants.

Product Overview
The PowerLogic PM8000 Series is designed for facilities that need more than basic kWh metering. It provides detailed electrical network visibility, power quality event capture, accurate energy measurement, demand monitoring, logging, alarms and communication flexibility. It is suitable for industrial plants, data centres, hospitals, airports, utilities, water treatment plants, semiconductor facilities and other critical power users.
PM8000 meters can be used as standalone panel meters, DIN rail meters with remote display, or fully integrated digital metering nodes in EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert, EMS, BMS, SCADA and IoTWatt 4.0 systems.
Positioning: Use PM8000 Essential for cost-effective advanced metering, PM8000 Standard where Class S power quality functions and larger memory are required, and PM8000 Advanced where Class A power quality, flicker and higher diagnostic capability are required.
Typical Monitoring Architecture
PM8000 meters are installed at critical electrical points such as main incomers, transformer feeders, UPS feeders, generator panels, critical distribution boards or major process feeders. Data can be communicated through dual Ethernet, RS485, optional 4-wire RS485 or optional Fiber Ethernet to PME, EMS, BMS, SCADA or IoTWatt 4.0.

Selection note: For Malaysia projects, the most common selection will usually be the AC/DC panel mount, DIN rail, or DIN rail with remote display variants. MID and RMICAN versions are mainly for markets or projects that specifically require those approvals.
