Engineered with large hexagonal perforations, the TS A2S facilitates a superior mechanical bond between the plaster and the brick substrate. It acts as a precise thickness guide for workers, ensuring perfectly straight, impact-resistant corners that protect wall edges from chipping and wear over time.

Application Instruction

• Cutting: Use a fine-tooth hacksaw or PVC snips to cut the bead to the vertical or horizontal height required.

• Fixing: Apply "dabs" of cement mortar or a suitable construction adhesive to the corner of the brickwork at 200mm – 300mm intervals.

• Positioning: Press the wings of the TS A2S bead into the dabs. Use a straight edge or spirit level to align the bead for a perfectly plumb corner.

• Embedding: Ensure the mortar forced through the hexagonal holes is flattened out to lock the bead into place.

• Finishing: Once the fixing dabs are set, apply the main render or plaster coat. Use the 3.0mm nose as your screed point to achieve a uniform finish.

Recommended Coating System

• Substrate: Standard 110mm Thick Brick or Masonry Block.

• Primary Coat: 20mm Cement Plaster or specialized Render.

• Finish Coat: High-quality Masonry Paint, Texture Coating, or Skim Coat for interior walls.  

Surface Preparation

• Debris Removal: Remove all loose mortar, dust, grease, and efflorescence from the brick corner.

• Alignment Check: Ensure the brickwork is relatively straight; any significant protrusions should be leveled to prevent the bead from bowing.
• Moisture Management: For dry or porous brickwork, lightly dampen the surface with water before applying adhesive dabs to ensure a strong bond and prevent premature drying.
