A Fire Ducting System differs from standard HVAC ducting in its ability to withstand extreme temperatures without collapsing or allowing "fire-bypass." We focus on three critical engineering criteria:
Integrity (E): The ability of the duct to remain intact and prevent the passage of flames and hot gases through the duct wall.
Insulation (I): The ability of the duct to limit the temperature rise on the "cool" side, preventing the ignition of nearby combustible materials in unaffected rooms.
Stability (S): The ability of the duct and its support hangers to remain in place under fire conditions (typically 250 degrees Celsius for 2 hours) without collapsing.
Smoke Spill Exhaust Ductwork:
