2-Hour & 4-Hour Stability & Integrity
We install duct systems tested to international standards (such as BS 476 Part 24 or EN 1366-1/8). These ducts are engineered to maintain their structural shape (Stability) and prevent the passage of flames or hot gases (Integrity) for up to 4 hours.
Specialized Fire Wrap & Boarding
For standard galvanized steel ducts, we provide professional encasement using high-density Rockwool mats, calcium silicate boards, or specialized ceramic fiber wraps. This ensures zero-clearance to combustible materials and protects nearby M&E services from radiant heat.
Pre-Fabricated Self-Supporting Fire Ducts
To save ceiling space and installation time, we offer pre-fabricated fire ducts made from specialized composite materials. These are lighter than traditional boarded ducts and do not require a separate steel inner liner.
High-Temperature Gaskets & Sealants
Standard HVAC sealants fail in minutes during a fire. We use intumescent gaskets and fire-stop sealants at all joints and wall penetrations. These materials expand when heated, creating a liquid-tight, smoke-proof seal.
Internal Reinforcement for High Suction
Smoke spill fans create massive negative pressure. We reinforce the internal structure of the ductwork to prevent "implosion" or "oil-canning" when the system kicks into its maximum emergency extraction mode.
Motorized Smoke & Fire Damper Integration
Where ducts pass through fire compartments (e.g., from the car park into a vertical shaft), we install motorized dampers. These are interlocked with the Fire Alarm Monitoring System (FAMS) to prevent smoke from migrating to upper floors.
