The Red-Footed Tortoise is a vibrant species native to the tropical rainforests of South America. Named for the distinct red or orange scales on its limbs and head, this tortoise is less "dome-shaped" than others, featuring a longer, loaf-like shell. Unlike arid desert tortoises, Red-Foots thrive in humid environments and have a charming, curious personality. Notes: This species has unique dietary requirements compared to other tortoises. While they eat greens, they are frugivores (fruit eaters) and opportunistic omnivores in the wild.
