Appearance (BLH Golden)

Coat

• Semi-long to long coat

• Very thick and plush (double coat with long guard hairs)

• Undercoat: warm honey / apricot gold

• Tipping: black or blue depending on code

• Feathers and ruff around neck

• Fluffy tail with shading or tipping

• Shiny, glowing appearance under light

Face & Body

• Round face, round eyes, round cheeky “teddy” look

• Medium–large, strong body

• Short thick legs

• Rounded paws

• Broad chest and muscular build

Eyes

Golden cats usually have:

• Green

• Blue-green

• Emerald tones
  (Copper eyes appear in some lines but green is preferred for golden series)

Nose & Paw Pads

• Nose: brick red, may have black outline

• Paw pads: black, brown, or blue-grey (depending on color code)

Temperament (Typical BLH Personality)

British Longhairs are calm, sweet, and easy to live with:

• Gentle and affectionate

• Quiet, not very vocal

• Likes to be near you but not clingy

• Good for families and multi-pet homes

• Very patient, calm, and friendly

• Less active compared to most longhair breeds

• Enjoys play but not hyperactive

They’re basically the fluffy version of the British Shorthair personality.
