The Weinmann MEDUMAT Easy CPR is a compact, lightweight ventilator designed for emergency use during and after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It supports medical personnel with voice prompts and a metronome to guide the resuscitation process.
Dimensions and power supply
Dimensions (W x H x D): 100 x 145 x 90 mm, including connections.
Weight: About 0.6 kg, making it ideal for transport in bags or emergency backpacks.
Operating temperature: -20 °C to +50 °C.
Power supply: Maintenance-free lithium-ion battery (3.6 V; 5.2 Ah).
Battery runtime: Approximately 100 hours at room temperature with a tidal volume (Vt) of 500 ml. Colder temperatures will reduce battery life.
Ventilation modes and parameters
The MEDUMAT Easy CPR offers three modes for different patient needs:
Demand flow mode: For spontaneously breathing patients, delivering 100% oxygen with intelligent flow management.
Manual (CPR) mode: Allows manual breaths to be triggered with the MEDUtrigger, a button on the mask, while keeping both hands on the mask seal.
Max. ventilation pressure: Can be set to 20 or 45 mbar.
Continuous (IPPV) mode: For patients with no spontaneous respiration, providing mandatory volume-controlled ventilation.
Ventilation rate: Infinitely adjustable from 10 to 25 min-1.
Tidal volume (Vt): Infinitely adjustable from 65 to 950 ml.
Safety and other features
Guideline compliance: Meets ERC Guidelines 2015 recommendations, including a constant tidal volume and an acoustic metronome for chest compressions.
Alarms: Visual and audio alarms for various issues, such as high or low airway pressure, low oxygen supply pressure, and low battery.
Interface: Features a single knob for setting tidal volume and ventilation rate.
Voice prompts: Provides clear audio responses to guide rescuers through CPR procedures.
Durability: Tested against shock and vibrations to EN 1789 standards for use in out-of-hospital environments.
Patient range: Can be used on adult and pediatric patients weighing 10 kg or more.
