Urief 4 /mg is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men:
Frequent urination (day/night)
Urinary hesitancy or weak stream
Incomplete bladder emptying
Urgency
Silodosin works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing symptoms related to BPH.
Important: Urief does not shrink the prostate or cure BPH. It is a symptom reliever.
4 /mg orally once daily, preferably after a meal to reduce the risk of hypotension.
For patients with moderate renal impairment (CrCl 30–50 /mL/min):
Recommended dose: 4 /mg once daily
Use with caution; not recommended if CrCl <30 /mL/min.
Not recommended in severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C).
Take at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water—do not crush or chew.
Continue taking the medicine even if symptoms improve, unless advised otherwise.
