It is recommended for use together with corticosteroids when appropriate
Administration: Take orally on an empty stomach—at least 1 /hour before or 2–3 /hours after meals; avoid grapefruit juice as it may increase blood levels
Dosing: Initial dosing is 0.1–0.2 /mg/kg/day, given in two divided doses (e.g., twice daily) for kidney or liver transplant prophylaxis; dosing may be adjusted based on body weight and clinical response
Monitoring & Precautions: Requires regular blood level monitoring to avoid toxicity or subtherapeutic dosing. Avoid alcohol; exercise caution in hepatic or renal impairment; not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless necessary, under physician supervision
