To ensure the 2V, 2W, 2S, 2L, and 2KL series fluid control valves perform reliably, AirTAC provides a modular system of coils and connectors. These accessories allow for easy voltage conversion, field repairs, and environmental protection without needing to replace the entire valve body.
AirTAC coils are manufactured using high-grade copper wire and thermoset plastic encapsulation, ensuring they meet strict insulation standards for continuous-duty industrial applications.
AirTAC coils are categorized by series size to match the specific armature of the valve body.
Voltage Versatility: Available in AC220V, AC110V, AC24V, DC24V, and DC12V.
Insulation Class F: Standard rating up to 155°C, allowing the coil to remain energized for long periods without thermal failure.
Encapsulation: Thermoset resin protects the internal windings from moisture, vibration, and dust.
Choosing the right entry type depends on your machine's wiring environment:
Terminal (DIN Connector): Features a removable plug (ISO 4400 / DIN 43650). This is the industry standard for easy maintenance and swapping of valves without rewiring.
Grommet (Flying Leads): Two direct-wire leads (usually 300mm or 500mm). Best for compact spaces where there is no room for a bulky DIN plug.
LED Indicators: Transparent DIN connectors equipped with an LED light that glows when the coil is energized—essential for rapid troubleshooting on a busy factory floor.
Surge Protection: Connectors can be specified with built-in Varistors (VDR) or Diodes to suppress "flyback voltage" spikes that can damage sensitive PLC outputs when the valve is switched off.
IP65 Protection: When properly installed with the included gasket and screw, the assembly provides dust-tight and water-jet protection.
Armature Assemblies: A kit containing the plunger, spring, and O-rings to rebuild a valve that has become "sticky" due to fluid scale or debris.
Coil Nut/Clip: Replacement hardware to secure the coil to the valve stem.
High-Temperature Seal Kits: Optional VITON (FKM) or EPDM diaphragms for customers upgrading their standard NBR valves for chemical or steam resistance.
