This newly completed kitchen for Mr. Haikal and Mrs. Sofea in Taman Sinar Intan 3, Sungai Petani showcases a beautiful blend of Scandinavian kitchen design paired with subtle industrial elements. The result is a modern, functional, and timeless space crafted to suit their lifestyle and daily routines.
The homeowners wanted a kitchen that reflects their love for clean lines, minimalism, and warm tones. Our designer, Ms. Zoey Tan, worked closely with them to create a layout that balances the calm simplicity of Scandinavian style with the cozy character of industrial design. Every detail—from materials to layout—was thoughtfully planned to ensure the kitchen is both stylish and practical.
This project features an I-shaped kitchen layout, complemented by bold black cabinetry that brings a modern, upscale feel. At the heart of the kitchen is a sleek island table topped with premium white porcelain countertops—an elegant and durable choice popular in modern Malaysian homes.
The island enhances workflow, offers extra prep space, and doubles as a casual dining area, making it perfect for daily use and family gatherings.
To add warmth and personality, a raw brick feature wall was incorporated. This industrial-inspired element introduces texture and depth, pairing beautifully with the smooth black cabinets and bright porcelain surface. It’s a subtle contrast that elevates the overall kitchen atmosphere without overpowering the Scandinavian aesthetic.
The kitchen is built using premium materials to ensure durability and ease of maintenance:
HDF (High-Density Fibreboard) cabinet doors with elegant profile detailing
Composite panel tabletop offering a smooth, low-maintenance surface
Aluminum carcass for the double-door tall cabinet, providing strength, stability, and spacious storage
Pocket door feature, improving accessibility and keeping the space efficient and clutter-free
These materials were selected to withstand daily wear while maintaining a modern, polished look.
To further enhance usability, the kitchen is equipped with BLUM hinges and mechanisms, ensuring smooth, soft-closing operation for every drawer and door. This premium hardware not only improves functionality but also guarantees long-term reliability—an essential component of a well-built custom kitchen in Malaysia.
This Scandinavian-inspired kitchen demonstrates how thoughtful planning and quality materials can create a space that is visually striking, easy to maintain, and highly functional. Designed with the homeowners’ lifestyle in mind, it’s a kitchen that truly feels like home—modern, warm, and built for real living.
