QA-I Current Isolator
The QEED QA-I is a 3-way current signal isolator for 0 20mA and 4 20mA analogue signals. It introduces galvanic isolation between input, output and power supply, helping to reduce ground loop issues, signal interference and reference potential problems in industrial control systems.
QA-I does not require programming. The input current signal is isolated and retransmitted at the output. Both input and output can be configured as active or passive, making the module suitable for different PLC, controller, transmitter and monitoring system wiring arrangements.

Overview
QA-I is used when an analogue current signal must be passed from one system to another while maintaining electrical separation. It is suitable for isolating signals between field transmitters, PLC analogue inputs, controllers, recorders, BMS panels, EMS panels and industrial monitoring systems.
The module is especially useful where signal instability is caused by electrical noise, ground loops, different power supply references or long cable runs. By adding galvanic isolation, the signal can be made more stable and safer for the receiving system.

3-Way Isolation
The QA-I provides galvanic isolation between the analogue input, analogue output and power supply. This 3-way isolation is important in control panels where the field instrument, PLC and auxiliary power supply may not share the same electrical reference.
Isolation paths: Analogue input, analogue output and power supply are 3-way galvanically isolated at 1.5kV.

Mounting Instructions
QA-I is designed for DIN rail mounting. To install the module, place the upper part of the module onto the edge of the omega rail and push the lower part until it clicks into place. The fastening slider should be pushed forward to secure the module firmly on the rail.
Installation note: Confirm active/passive wiring, loop supply, polarity and load resistance before energising the loop. Incorrect wiring may trigger the fail indication or produce an unstable signal.
System Integration
QA-I is suitable for isolating analogue current-loop signals in PLC, SCADA, EMS, BMS, process control, utility monitoring and industrial IoT systems. It is normally installed between the signal source and the receiving analogue input.
