Johor Bahru’s Revamped Danga Bay Park Opens As Family-Friendly Landmark
🌳 Johor Bahru’s Taman Awam Teluk Danga has completed its redevelopment and is set to reopen as a modern family-friendly public park. The revamped park was announced as a new urban leisure landmark for residents and visitors, with facilities designed around recreation, interaction, scenery and comfort, supporting Johor’s wider push to strengthen city tourism and public spaces.
👨👩👧 The upgraded park includes attractions such as a sky bridge with scenic views, the Tiger Play children’s playground, a landscaped leisure boulevard with island-inspired elements and a dry water play zone. Malaysian citizens can enter free of charge, while foreign visitors are charged an entrance fee, making the park accessible for local families while also serving the tourism market.
🛡️ Authorities said safety and cleanliness will be closely monitored, with CCTV coverage, enforcement personnel, park patrols, lighting improvements and regular landscape maintenance. The 5.7-acre redevelopment is also linked to the next stage of upgrading plans, including stronger safety features, public infrastructure and beautification works. The project is expected to support family outings, local tourism, small businesses and the Visit Johor 2026 campaign.
