Product Description

KAAS Dynamic Pass Box

The KAAS Dynamic Pass Box is designed for the controlled transfer of materials between cleanrooms and adjacent non-clean or lower-classified areas.

Unlike a static pass box, the dynamic pass box uses HEPA-filtered airflow to blow loose particles from the surface of transferred items before the clean-side door is released.

The system helps reduce contamination transfer during the movement of tools, components, packaging materials, samples and production items without requiring personnel to enter or leave the cleanroom.

The chamber incorporates electrically interlocked doors so that both doors cannot be opened at the same time. This allows the pass box to function as an airlock and helps maintain separation between clean and non-clean areas.

The KAAS Dynamic Pass Box is suitable for pharmaceutical production, food processing, electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, medical-device facilities, biotechnology laboratories and other controlled environments.

How the Dynamic Pass Box Works

The general operating sequence is:

  1. The operator opens the loading-side door.
  2. The item is placed inside the chamber.
  3. The loading-side door is closed.
  4. The electrical interlock prevents the opposite door from opening.
  5. The blower circulates air through the HEPA filter.
  6. High-velocity clean air removes loose particles from the item surface.
  7. The chamber may also use UV light for supplementary surface treatment.
  8. After the programmed cycle is completed, the clean-side door is released.
  9. The receiving operator removes the item.

UV Light
