Programme overview

• The Biomedical Engineering (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme is delivered in Chinese and covers Fundamentals of Biomedical Engineering, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, Medical Imaging, Medical Signal Processing, and Medical Sensors, building foundations in Fundamentals of Biomedical Engineering, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, Medical Imaging, Medical Signal Processing, and Medical Sensors through coursework and projects (aligned with “Core subjects” and the application process below; modules follow programme notices).

Career pathways (overview)

• Graduates may pursue roles in medical device and medical equipment enterprises, hospitals and medical imaging centres, rehabilitation and health management institutions, biomaterials and medical consumables enterprises, and research institutes and testing organisations, including medical equipment technical support, medical imaging and signal processing support, biomaterials and device testing support, rehabilitation system application collaboration, and R&D testing and project coordination, subject to employers’ requirements and recruitment policies.
• They may also pursue further postgraduate study in biomedical engineering, medical imaging technology, rehabilitation engineering, biomaterials, biomechanics, and related MA/PhD programmes, subject to admissions.
