You can check the phase sequence (the order in which electromotive force is generated) in three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire distribution lines.

  • The measurement method involves touching the power distribution line with a thin tip like the tip of a pen, so measurements can be made efficiently even inside crowded distribution boards.
  • It also has a non-contact voltage detection function.
  • Measurement results are indicated by LED color and beep sound, making it an intuitive and easy-to-understand method.

Advantages of the VP-01U Phase and Voltage Detector

It doesn't matter where you work!
It is now possible to detect phases in thin and thick wiring or narrow spaces that were previously not possible.
Extremely portable!
The main body and sensor are integrated into a compact, lightweight body measuring 153mm in length and weighing 50g. It can be stored in a pocket or on a belt.
Improve work efficiency!
There is no time required for installation, changing measurement points or removal, reducing the burden on workers.

Operating Procedure

Voltage detection mode: Checks for the presence of ground phases, broken wires, etc.
Press and hold the function button to switch from [Power On] to [Voltage Tester Mode].
The sensor tip touches the insulated wire in sequence to check for ground phases and open (missing phase) wires.
Phase detection mode: Check the phase sequence of the power distribution line.
Pressing the function button in voltage detection mode will switch to phase detection mode.
Start with the ground phase that you found in voltage detection mode. Touch the sensor part to the insulated wire and press the function button.
When the beep sounds four times in step 2, touch the second insulated wire. When the beep sounds four times, touch the third insulated wire.
After the third insulated wire emits four beeps, the phase detection result will be displayed on the sensor.
To ensure safety, the phases are checked in the reverse order of the first time.
