Shenzhen University Liyuan Scholarship

Comprehensive consideration will be given to international students' moral character, academic performance, academic research, and activity performance in the 2024-2025 academic year.

(1) Downshift if any of the following situations occur:

1. Doctoral students: Those who do not devote themselves to academic research and fail the thesis proposal defense, thesis external review, pre-defense, and defense will be downgraded according to the circumstances;
2. Master's students: those with an average grade point average of less than 3.0 in the academic year will be demoted from the first grade to the second grade; those with an average grade point average of less than 2.5 in the academic year will be demoted from the original grade to the third grade; those who fail the thesis proposal defense, graduation thesis external review, pre-defense, and defense will be demoted depending on the circumstances.
3. Undergraduate students: If the average credit grade point average for the academic year is lower than 3.5, the first-class grade will be downgraded to the second-class grade; if the average credit grade point average for the academic year is lower than 3.0, the original grade will be downgraded to the third-class grade.

(2) If any of the following circumstances occurs, the Liyuan International Scholarship will be suspended:

1. Those who have violated Chinese laws, regulations, or school rules and regulations and have been punished;
2. Undergraduate and postgraduate students who fail or fail required courses or required components, or whose undergraduate GPA is lower than 2.5 or whose postgraduate GPA is lower than 2.0;
3. Transfer, suspend, withdraw, complete or graduate (for students on suspension, their Liyuan International Scholarship will be restored upon resumption of studies);
4. Not participating in the annual review;
5. Other circumstances in which the scholarship may be suspended.

Each college (department) will notify students to fill out the "Liyuan International Scholarship Annual Review Form" and collect the form. Contact E-Square to get the scholarship form.

Each college (department) will establish a college-level International Student Scholarship Review Committee, comprised of relevant leaders, graduate advisors, and international student management staff. This committee will evaluate students' overall performance, formulate opinions based on the evaluation criteria, and publicly announce the results. Each college (department) will complete the "Liyuan International Scholarship Annual Review Form" and "Liyuan International Scholarship Annual Review Summary Form" and send them to the School of International Exchange via email.

The School of International Exchange will establish a school-level International Student Scholarship Review Committee to assess the final results and make the results public.

All colleges (departments) must complete the review and submit the results before September 4.

The School of International Exchange will determine the final review results before September 12.
