Em-Mectin Insecticide Racun Serangga 2.15% (1L) is an insecticide with the active ingredient Emamectin Benzoate 2.15%.

Uses of Em-Mectin 2.15%

1. Target Pests

   • Very effective against caterpillars (Lepidoptera larvae).

   • Controls diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella) in cabbage and other cruciferous vegetables.

   • Controls armyworms, pod borers, fruit borers, leaf folders, leaf rollers, stem borers, thrips and mites.

2. Mode of Action

   • Acts as a stomach and contact poison.

   • Derived from avermectins (natural fermentation products).

   • Disrupts nerve and muscle function in insects, causing paralysis and death.

3. Crops Commonly Treated

   • Vegetables: cabbage, broccoli, chili, tomato, eggplant, long bean, okra.

   • Fruits: mango, citrus, papaya.

   • Rice / paddy: effective against leaf folder and stem borer.

   • Other crops: soybean, corn, cotton, oil palm (young stages).

4. Advantages

   • Highly effective at low dosage.

   • Works quickly on feeding larvae.

   • Safe for most beneficial insects when used correctly.

   • Short pre-harvest interval (can be applied close to harvest with proper interval).

 Precautions

• Do not overdose to avoid resistance build-up.

• Use protective clothing during spraying.

• Avoid spraying during strong sunlight or rain (best in morning/evening).

• Rotate with different insecticide groups to manage resistance.
