Application:
The 74HC4050 is a hex non-inverting buffer/converter designed for use in high-performance memory-decoding or data-routing applications. It is capable of transforming slowly changing input signals into sharply defined, jitter-free output signals. The device can be used to convert TTL or CMOS-level signals to 5V CMOS levels or to convert 5V CMOS levels to TTL or CMOS levels. It can also be used as a level translator between two different logic families.
