Content & Ingredients

• Active Ingredient: Each capsule contains 50 mg of pregabalin.
• Inactive Ingredients:
  • Capsule Content: Lactose monohydrate, maize starch, talc.
  • Capsule Shell: Gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), sodium laurilsulfate, colloidal anhydrous silica, purified water.
  • Printing Ink: Shellac, black iron oxide (E172), propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide.

Indications

• Neuropathic Pain: Management of neuropathic pain in adults.
• Epilepsy: Adjunctive therapy in adults with partial seizures, with or without secondary generalisation.
• Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD): Treatment of GAD in adults.
• Fibromyalgia: Management of fibromyalgia.

Dosage & Administration

• General Dosage: The recommended dose range is 150–600 mg per day, administered in two or three divided doses.
• Neuropathic Pain:
  • Start with 150 mg/day, increasing to 300 mg/day after 3–7 days if well tolerated.
  • If necessary, increase to a maximum of 600 mg/day after an additional 7-day interval.
• Epilepsy:
  • Begin with 150 mg/day, increasing to 300 mg/day after 1 week if well tolerated.
  • May increase to a maximum of 600 mg/day after an additional week.
• Generalised Anxiety Disorder:
  • Start with 150 mg/day, increasing to 300 mg/day after 1 week.
  • After another week, may increase to 450 mg/day, with a maximum dose of 600 mg/day after an additional week.
• Fibromyalgia:
  • Start with 75 mg twice daily (150 mg/day), increasing to 150 mg twice daily (300 mg/day) within 1 week if well tolerated.
  • May further increase to 225 mg twice daily (450 mg/day).
  • Some patients may benefit from up to 600 mg/day, but this should be considered on an individual basis.
• Administration:
  • Lyrica can be taken with or without food.
  • Swallow capsules whole with a glass of water; do not chew.
  • If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it's almost time for the next dose.
  • Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.
• Discontinuation:
  • If discontinuation is necessary, it is recommended to taper the dose gradually over a minimum of 1 week to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
