Do I need an external power supply for this cable? Most low-to-medium power devices (like mice, keyboards, or printers) run perfectly on bus power. However, for high-drain devices like external hard drives, we recommend using a powered USB hub at the female end of the extension.
Can I daisy-chain multiple cables? While these cables are active, daisy-chaining multiple long extensions is not recommended as it can increase latency and decrease signal stability beyond the rated specifications.
Will this work with USB 3.0 devices? Yes, it is physically compatible, but the speed will be limited to USB 2.0 (480 Mbps). If your device requires high-speed 5 Gbps data, you should use a dedicated USB 3.0 active extension.
