Ensure your large-capacity HVAC systems stay cool under pressure with the CBB65 40uF 450V Air Cond Running Capacitor. Designed for high-performance cooling units, the CBB65 series features a rugged, oil-filled aluminum housing that provides superior thermal management and safety compared to standard plastic motor capacitors. This unit provides the continuous electrical phase shift necessary for large AC compressors to start reliably and maintain peak energy efficiency during intense cooling demands.
Robust 40uF Capacity: Rated at 40uF ±5%, providing the substantial electrical energy storage required for high-torque compressors and industrial-sized condenser fans.
Explosion-Proof Aluminum Shell: Features a "Protected 10,000AFC" internal safety mechanism that automatically disconnects the capacitor in the event of an electrical fault, preventing case rupture.
Advanced Self-Healing (SH): Equipped with high-tech internal film that repairs minor dielectric punctures, preventing total failure and extending the lifespan of your cooling system.
Superior Heat Dissipation: The metallic, oil-filled construction allows for rapid heat transfer, essential for maintaining stable performance within hot outdoor condenser units.
Industrial Safety Certified: Fully compliant with CQC and CE standards, featuring a climatic category rating of 40/70/21 for reliable operation in extreme weather.
High-Capacity AC Compressors: Primary start and run support for large residential and commercial air conditioning units.
HVAC Condenser Fans: Supports heavy-duty outdoor fans for consistent and effective heat exchange.
Industrial Refrigeration: Ideal for large walk-in coolers and commercial-grade refrigeration compressors.
Heat Pump Systems: Provides reliable, year-round performance in both high-load heating and cooling modes.
Model: CBB65A.
Capacitance: 40uF ±5% SH.
Rated Voltage: 450V AC.
Frequency: 50/60Hz.
Can I use a 40uF capacitor if my original part was 35uF or 45uF?
It is critical to match the original rating exactly for run capacitors. Using a value outside the ±5% tolerance can cause the compressor motor to draw too much current, run hot, and eventually burn out.
Why is the top of my old CBB65 capacitor pushed out?
This is the "explosion-proof" safety feature in action. When the capacitor fails, internal pressure causes the top to bulge, which breaks the internal connection and prevents a fire or burst. If yours is bulged, it must be replaced.
Is this capacitor non-polarized?
Yes. Like all AC motor capacitors, this unit is non-polarized. You can connect the wires to the terminal sets in any direction, provided the correct terminals are used for the compressor and fan circuits.
