• A 100-capsule bottle containing sertraline hydrochloride.

Indications 

Apo-Sertraline 50mg Capsules are indicated for:

• Major depressive disorder (MDD)

• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

• Panic disorder
  
  Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

• Social anxiety disorder (social phobia)

• Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)

In children and adolescents aged 6–17 years, it is indicated for the treatment of OCD.

Instructions 

• Dosage:

  • Adults:

    • MDD, OCD, Panic Disorder, PTSD: Start with 50 mg once daily.

    • Social Anxiety Disorder: Start with 25 mg once daily, increasing to 50 mg after one week.

    • PMDD: Start with 50 mg once daily, either throughout the menstrual cycle (up to 150 mg daily) or for the last 14 days before the start of your period (up to 100 mg daily).

  • Children and Adolescents (6–17 years):

    • OCD: Start with 25 mg once daily for the first week, then increase to 50 mg once daily.

• Administration:

  • Take the capsule orally with a full glass of water.

  • It can be taken with or without food.

  • Swallow the capsule whole; do not chew or crush.

• Precautions:

  • Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may worsen your condition.

  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, seizures, or bipolar disorder.

  • Monitor for any worsening of depression or emergence of suicidal thoughts, especially during the initial treatment period.

  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
