Astro once again strengthens its commitment to Malaysian hockey by broadcasting the 31st edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup live from 23 to 30 November 2025 at the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Stadium, Perak.
Asia’s oldest invitational hockey tournament will feature top elite teams including Belgium, India, New Zealand, South Korea, Canada, and Malaysia as the host nation.
The opening match will see India vs South Korea on 23 November, but the highlight will undoubtedly be the clash between Malaysia and India on 26 November at 8 PM, where the Speedy Tigers aim to avenge their previous defeat in the Asia Cup.
Since the launch of Astro Arena in 2010, Astro has remained committed to supporting the development of Malaysian hockey through comprehensive coverage, expert analysis, and live broadcasts of major international tournaments. Last year, the event recorded over two million viewers, reflecting the strong passion of local fans.
Astro has also renewed its partnership with the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) for another five editions as the official broadcaster of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
To enhance the viewing experience, Astro will bring live coverage from the field along with legendary hockey figures such as Datuk Mirnawan Nawawi, Azlan Misron, and Maninderjit Singh, who will provide tactical insights and expert analysis throughout the tournament.
