Exsim Hospitality Bhd has announced plans to expand its business scope, seeking shareholder approval to venture into new operational areas. Based on the company’s circular dated March 27, the proposed move signals a strategic shift beyond its current core activities.
The diversification involves introducing two new business segments:
These two initiatives are collectively referred to as the “proposed diversifications.”
This move represents a significant step for Exsim Hospitality as it aims to broaden its operational scope. By entering construction and procurement, the company is positioning itself to integrate more functions within its value chain.
Alongside diversification, the company is also seeking approval for a new shareholders’ mandate. This would allow it to carry out recurrent related party transactions of a revenue or trading nature—common in groups with interconnected business operations.
Both proposals—the diversification and the shareholders’ mandate—must be approved by shareholders at an upcoming general meeting before implementation.
At this stage, the company has not disclosed financial projections or expected contributions from the new business segments.
