This Cabernet Sauvignon comes entirely True Vineyard located at 1,800 feet in elevation. Outpost grapes are harvested late in the season - by hand, at dawn - to preserve the full intensity and distinctive spicy character of the mountain fruit. Grapes from each block within the vineyard are fermented separately so that our winemaking team can be very selective about the lots that comprise the final blend. Wines are neither fined or filtered allowing for the full expression of the vintages' potential.
"Full-bodied, concentrated and rich, with a plush texture that combines the best qualities of velvet and high-fat cream, it displays an awesome sense of balance, as it completely saturates the palate, yet it does so without any heaviness, then lingers elegantly on the lengthy finish." - Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate (RP), 100 Points
"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard is pure magic. Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon doesn't get any better. It unquestionably offers pleasure today yet is going to shine for over two decades." - Jeb Dunnuck, 99 Points
"So subtle, yet intense. Purity in the bottle from cabernet. You want to drink it! But it will age beautifully, too." - James Suckling, 98 Points
