China University of Mining and Technology Chinese Government Scholarship "Bilateral Project" (Type A)

Category A: GPA ≥ 3.2

Undergraduates with a GPA ≥ 3.2: RMB 13,800 (Bachelor of Arts) or RMB 14,600 (Bachelor of Science) per year,

Masters RMB 15,400 per year,

and Doctoral RMB 17,000 per year.

② Educational background/age/language requirements

Non-degree students: any academic qualifications, any age, Chinese-taught programs: any, English Medium Course: no requirement

undergrad: High school diploma, Under 30 years old, Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (≥200), English Medium Course: English is the mother tongue or medium of instruction in high school or an IELTS score of at least 6.5 with all individual scores exceeding 6.0

Master's students: Bachelor's degree certificate, Under 35 years old, Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (≥220), English Medium Course: English is the mother tongue or medium of instruction at undergraduate level, or an IELTS score of at least 6.5 with all individual components exceeding 6.0

PhD students: Master's Certificate, Under 40 years old, Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (≥220), English Medium Course: English as native language or language of instruction at postgraduate level, or an IELTS score of at least 6.5 with each component exceeding 6.0

※ Applicants whose Chinese proficiency does not meet the required level must complete one year of Chinese language training at China University of Mining and Technology and meet the required level before they can enter their program. (This applies only to Chinese-taught programs.) Applicants must agree to abide by the relevant laws of the People's Republic of China.

① Registration: All program applications must be completed online through the China University of Mining and Technology's "Online Application System." Contact E-Square to get the website

② Application Materials:

• One passport-sized photo;
• A copy of the passport (photo page);
• A copy of your final degree transcript (in Chinese or English);
• A copy of your final degree certificate (in Chinese or English);
• Transcripts and degree certificates in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation.
• HSK-4 certificate (for Chinese-taught programs, if available);
• English language proficiency certificate (for students from non-English-speaking countries studying in English-taught programs)
• Statement of financial support;
• Research proposal (for Master's and PhD students only);
• Letter of recommendation (for Master's and PhD students only);
• Physical examination form from the last 6 months;
• Applicants for PhD programs must submit a letter of recommendation from the proposed supervisor of our university;
• Certificate of no criminal record issued by the local police station
• Other relevant documents.
