Indication

Type /2 diabetes mellitus, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antihyperglycemic agents, with typical benefits of reduced gastrointestinal side-effects compared to immediate-release metformin
Instruction

Take orally with water, swallowing the tablet whole—do not chew, crush or break.

Ideally taken at the same time each day, usually with or after a meal, to minimize GI upset

Start with once daily dosing; adjust dosage based on glycemic response while monitoring renal and hepatic function; follow-up with healthcare provider as needed
