How does Single Seat Valve work?

The single seat sampling valve operates in two modes: open and shut, to deliver reliable sampling with minimal risk of contamination. The modular design allows easy upgrading to a double-seat configuration using a compatible kit.
Open Position (for sampling):
- Manual: Turn the handle counter-clockwise
- Pneumatic: Activate the actuator to retract the stem and membrane
This allows product to flow freely through the valve.
Shut Position (for cleaning/sterilization):
- Manual: Rotate the handle clockwise
- Pneumatic: Close the valve by stopping air supply
This closes the valve, making the internal flow path accessible for steam or CIP/SIP sterilization. For added safety during steam sterilization, using a pressure relief valve on the outlet is recommended. |
