Contents

• Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains 10 mg of alfuzosin hydrochloride, an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker that works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.
• Excipient: Hydrogenated castor oil.

Indications

• Treat the functional symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition where the prostate gland enlarges, leading to urinary difficulties.
• Adjuvant treatment in acute urinary retention (AUR) related to BPH, specifically in patients aged 65 and older. 

Instructions for Use

• Dosage: Take one 10 mg tablet once daily, immediately after a meal. 
• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet. 
• Acute Urinary Retention (AUR): In patients aged 65 and older, start treatment with one 10 mg tablet daily after a meal from the first day of catheterization. Continue for 3–4 days: 2–3 days during catheterization and 1 day after its removal. 
• Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. Do not take two doses on the same day to make up for a missed dose.
• Precautions: Avoid taking Xatral XL with other alpha-blockers. Use with caution if you have heart problems, liver issues, or are taking medications that affect blood pressure.
