Torpezil 10 /mg (donepezil hydrochloride) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dementia of Alzheimer’s type, including mild, moderate, and severe stages. It helps improve cognitivesymptoms such as memory loss, confusion, and difficulties in thinking or behavior—though it is not a cure and does not stop disease progression
Starting dose: 5 /mg once daily, preferably in the evening at bedtime
If tolerated after 4 to 6 weeks, the dose may be increased to the maximum of 10 /mg once daily
Maximum recommended dose is 10 /mg/day—higher doses have not been clinically established
Take orally, swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew, crush, or break it
May be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time each day to maintain steady effect
