The 4K HDMI Audio Extractor is a professional-grade converter designed to "extract" the digital audio signal from an HDMI source and convert it into independent analog or digital audio outputs. This allows you to send high-definition video to your TV or projector while simultaneously routing high-quality audio to external speakers, amplifiers, or soundbars that do not have an HDMI input.
Supporting 4K Ultra HD and various audio formats, this active converter ensures your visual and auditory experiences stay perfectly synchronized and high-fidelity.
High-Resolution Video: Supports 4K x 2K @ 30Hz, 1080p Full HD, and 3D video passthrough for uncompromised picture quality.
Versatile Audio Outputs: Features both a Digital Optical Toslink (SPDIF) port and a 3.5mm Stereo Audio jack for maximum compatibility with sound systems.
Three Audio EDID Settings: Includes a physical switch to toggle between PASS, 2.0CH, and 5.1CH modes, allowing you to force the source to output the correct audio format for your speakers.
Active Signal Conversion: Powered via an external 5V DC input to ensure a stable, flicker-free signal and high-gain audio output.
Deep Color Support: Compatible with 30-bit, 36-bit, and 48-bit deep color for vibrant, realistic images.
Rugged Metal Chassis: Housed in a durable, heat-dissipating metal casing to protect internal components and reduce electromagnetic interference.
Input Port: 1 x HDMI.
Output Ports: 1 x HDMI, 1 x Optical Toslink (SPDIF), 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Jack.
Resolution Support: 4K x 2K @ 30Hz, 1080p, 720p.
Power Supply: 5V DC (USB Power Cable Included).
Gaming with Headphones: Extracting audio from a PS5 or Xbox to plug directly into high-end wired headphones or a desktop amp.
Legacy Audio Integration: Connecting a modern 4K streaming box (like Apple TV or Roku) to an older high-fidelity amplifier that lacks HDMI ports.
Projector Setups: Routing video to a ceiling-mounted projector while sending the audio down to a floor-level soundbar or receiver.
Nighttime Viewing: Using the 3.5mm jack to connect a wireless headphone transmitter for private listening without disturbing others.
Will this lower my video quality to 1080p? No. This converter features 4K passthrough, meaning the video signal going to your TV remains at its original 4K resolution.
What does the "2.0CH / 5.1CH" switch do? This is the EDID switch. If you are using the 3.5mm jack for headphones, set it to 2.0CH. If you are using the Optical port for a surround sound system, set it to 5.1CH. The PASS mode simply mimics the capabilities of your TV.
Why is the audio not working on the 3.5mm jack? The 3.5mm analog output only works if the original HDMI audio signal is PCM or LPCM stereo. If the source is outputting 5.1 Dolby/DTS, you must use the Optical (Toslink) port or change your source device settings to "Stereo" or "PCM."
