Ensure a fail-safe connection for your pro-audio and stage equipment with the powerCON IN Chassis Socket. This blue-coded power inlet is a locking 3-conductor equipment AC connector with contacts for line, neutral, and pre-mating safety ground. Designed for high-current applications, it provides a significantly more secure connection than standard IEC plugs, making it the top choice for touring racks, LED walls, and active speakers.
Professional Audio Systems: The standard power input for high-powered active subwoofers, amplifiers, and line arrays.
Stage Lighting & Visuals: Widely used on LED video panels, moving head lights, and fog machines.
Power Distribution Units (PDUs): Ideal for custom-built power racks and distribution boxes requiring a locking inlet.
Industrial Equipment: Perfect for medical and laboratory gear that requires a secure power connection that cannot be accidentally unplugged.
Secure Quick-Lock System: Features a twist-lock mechanism that prevents accidental disconnection due to cable tension or vibration.
20A / 250V High-Capacity: Robustly rated to handle high-draw professional equipment without overheating.
Color-Coded Coding: Blue (Power IN) and Grey (Power OUT) coding prevents inter-mating and ensures safe power routing.
D-Size Standard Flange: Fits into standard "D-Series" XLR-style cutouts, making it easy to integrate into existing rack panels.
Extreme Durability: Reinforced glass-fiber housing stands up to the rigors of touring and frequent setup/teardown.
Low Contact Resistance: High-quality silver-plated brass contacts ensure maximum conductivity and signal purity.
Safety-First Design: Features a pre-mating ground contact to ensure the equipment is grounded before the power is live.
Connector Type: powerCON IN (Female Chassis Socket)
Color: Blue
Mounting: Standard D-Series Flange
Is this compatible with standard wall plugs?
No. This is a specialized industrial connector. You will need a powerCON Blue Cable Plug (Male) to connect power to this socket.
Can I use the Grey plug with this Blue socket?
No. powerCON connectors are keyed and color-coded. Blue is for Power IN and Grey is for Power OUT. They are designed not to fit into each other to prevent dangerous power loops.
Does it come with mounting screws?
Usually, chassis sockets are sold individually. We recommend using standard M3 screws or pop rivets for a secure D-series panel installation.
