- Rosuvastatin calcium
Rosuvastatin Sandoz 20mg is indicated for:
Primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia)
Mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb)
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering therapies or when such therapies are not appropriate
Slowing the progression of atherosclerosis
Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in patients at high risk
Dosage: The usual starting dose is 5 mg or 10 mg once daily. The maximum recommended dose is 40 mg once daily.
Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient quantity of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
Timing: Can be taken with or without food.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.
Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver disease, kidney disease, or are taking other medications.
