 What is the recommended resistor for these? For a standard 5V circuit, a 220Ω to 330Ω resistor is typically recommended to prevent the LED from burning out while maintaining optimal brightness.

Which side is the positive (+) lead? The longer lead is the Anode (Positive), and the shorter lead (usually near a flat spot on the LED's base) is the Cathode (Negative).

 Can these be used with a 12V battery? Yes,  but you must use a higher-value resistor (approximately 1kΩ) to limit the current. Connecting them directly to 12V will result in immediate component failure.
