Cable Coupling: Seamlessly connect two VGA cables that have Female ends to extend your total video cable length.
Port Gender Conversion: Change a standard Female VGA wall plate or device port into a Male interface.
AV Breakout Boxes: Ideal for use with VGA splitters, switchers, and matrixes where gender matching is required.
Media Lab Maintenance: An essential adapter for testing environments where various video cable configurations are used daily.
Standard 3-Row HD15 Layout: 100% compatible with all VGA, SVGA, UXGA, and VESA-compliant video hardware.

Industrial-Strength Shielding: The nickel-plated steel casing provides excellent protection against RFI/EMI, preventing "ghosting" or signal noise.
Double-Sided Locking Screws: Equipped with thumbscrews on both sides, allowing you to hand-tighten the connection for a secure, vibration-proof fit.
Ultra-Compact Profile: The "Mini" design fits easily into tight wall boxes or behind cluttered equipment racks without adding unnecessary bulk.

Will this work for my serial port?
No. While the shell size is the same as a DB9, this has 15 pins in 3 rows. Serial ports use 9 pins in 2 rows. This is for VGA Video only.
Can I use this to connect a laptop to a monitor?
Only if both the laptop and the monitor have Female ports and you are using a Female-to-Female cable. Standard VGA setups usually use a Male-to-Male cable, so you would rarely need this for a direct PC-to-monitor link unless your cable is unconventional.
Does it support high resolutions?
Yes. This adapter is passive and supports any resolution the attached cables can handle, including 1024x768 up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA).
