Expand your PCB’s connectivity with our 37-Way (DB37) Right-Angle PCB Connectors. These precision-engineered D-Sub connectors are designed for through-hole mounting, allowing a 37-pin interface to be positioned at a 90-degree angle on the edge of your circuit board. This orientation is the industry standard for high-density industrial controllers, automated test equipment, and data acquisition boards where vertical space is limited but signal capacity is critical.
Industrial Control Units: Mount high-density I/O ports onto PLCs and motion control motherboards.
Data Acquisition (DAQ) Boards: Create a secure, board-integrated bridge for multi-channel sensor inputs.
Automated Test Equipment (ATE): The standard interface for high-pin-count testing jigs and diagnostic hardware.
Medical & Lab Instrumentation: Provides a rugged, shielded port for complex telemetry and signal processing units.
90-Degree Right-Angle Profile: Designed to sit flush against the edge of the PCB, allowing cables to be connected horizontally—ideal for rack-mount systems and slim enclosures.
Reinforced PCB Stability: Features heavy-duty solder pins and integrated board-lock mounting tabs to ensure the connector remains secure under the weight of thick 37-way cables.
360-Degree EMI/RFI Shielding: The nickel or tin-plated steel shell provides a continuous grounded path to protect your 37 signal lines from external electronic noise.
Integrated Threaded Locking: Comes with pre-installed 4-40 threaded hex nuts, ensuring that your cable’s thumb-screws can be locked down for a vibration-proof connection.
Reliable High-Pin Alignment: High-quality PBT insulators ensure all 37 pins remain perfectly spaced during the soldering process.
Space-Saving Efficiency: Consolidate up to 37 independent circuits into a single, board-mounted port.
Industrial Grade Resilience: Built to withstand industrial environments, with contacts rated for high mating cycles and signal stability.

Is the footprint different for Male and Female?
While the shell size is the same, the pin-to-pin layout is mirrored. Ensure you use the correct PCB footprint in your design software (e.g., KiCad or Altium) specifically for a 37-way Male or Female right-angle connector.
Are the mounting legs for grounding?
Yes. The metal mounting tabs (harpoons) are soldered into the PCB to provide mechanical strength and to ground the connector's metal shell to your board's ground plane.
Can I use this for high-speed data?
This connector is excellent for standard digital and analog signals. For ultra-high-speed data, ensure your PCB traces are impedance-matched, as the connector itself is designed for standard RS232/RS485 and general I/O frequencies.
