Restore and build reliable data interfaces with our Professional DB25 25-Way Computer Connectors. Historically famous as the "Parallel Port" connector, the DB25 remains a critical component for industrial RS232 serial communication and multi-channel professional audio systems. Available in both Male (Plug) and Female (Socket) versions, these solder-type connectors offer a permanent and secure way to build custom high-density cables.
Legacy Parallel Printing: Repair or build cables for older printers and scanners using the IEEE 1284 standard.
Professional Audio (Tascam/Digidesign): The standard for 8-channel analog audio "snakes" and balanced audio D-Sub breakouts in recording studios.
Industrial RS232 & CNC: Used for full-handshake serial communication in CNC machines, routers, and factory automation.
Switch Boxes & Manual Selectors: Perfect for custom-built data switching hardware requiring 25 independent signal lines.
Standard 2-Row Layout: 25 pins arranged in the classic D-Sub configuration (13 on top, 12 on bottom) for universal compatibility.
High-Quality Solder Buckets: Each pin is designed for easy soldering, ensuring a low-resistance connection that can handle both data and low-voltage signals.
Robust EMI/RFI Shielding: The steel shell provides a grounded path to protect your signals from external electronic noise and interference.
Durable Plated Contacts: Built with high-conductivity copper alloy pins that resist oxidation, ensuring data integrity over long-term use.
Multi-Channel Efficiency: Consolidate up to 25 individual wires into a single, organized, and secure interface.
Heavy-Duty Mechanical Build: Designed to withstand the weight of thick multi-core cables and frequent usage in industrial settings.
Professional Finish: Compatible with all standard DB25 plastic and metal backshells for a neat and durable cable assembly.
Type: DB25 (Standard Density)
Pin Layout: 2 Rows (13 + 12 Pins)
Gender: Available in Male Plug (Pins) or Female Socket (Holes)
Attachment: Solder-Type
Is this the same as a VGA or Serial port?
It is Serial, but much wider than the common 9-pin (DB9) port. It is not VGA (which is 15-pin). Always count your pins before ordering to ensure you need the 25-way version.
Can I use this for my recording studio mixer?
Yes. These are the exact connectors used for "D-Sub to XLR" or "D-Sub to TRS" audio snakes. They are perfect for Tascam and Mackie-standard analog wiring.
Do I need a special tool for this?
No specialized crimping tool is required since these are solder-type. You only need a standard soldering iron and quality solder wire.
