The FOX FLOAT X2 sets the benchmark for gravity racing, delivering ultra-plush, coil-like comfort with the lightweight efficiency of an air spring. Engineered for Enduro and Downhill racing, it offers unmatched tunability and damping control, allowing riders to fine-tune their setup for any terrain. Whether tackling technical descents or charging through rock gardens, the FLOAT X2 provides next-level performance and precision handling. Available in Factory, Performance Elite, and Performance Race Series, this shock redefines what’s possible in air spring gravity suspension. 

Size Your Shock

The right size shock for your bike is determined by its eye-to-eye length (distance between shock eyelets) and stroke (distance the shock compresses) that fits your bike’s frame and suspension design. E.g. a 210x52.5mm shock has a 210mm eye-to-eye length and 52.5mm stroke.

FOX shocks also require specific mounting hardware that bolts the shock to your bike’s frame (available from us). Both shock size and hardware information should be available in the specs section on your bike brand’s website, or can be measured.



Select Your Spring

FOX coil shocks require a spring, which is purchased separately. Springs are available in black powder coated steel or orange Super Light Steel (SLS) in 50lb/inch and 25lb/inch spring rates respectively.

Choosing the right spring rate comes down to several factors including rider weight, the bike’s suspension design and personal preference.

Select Your Series

FOX offers three different series of its aftermarket shocks. Note that not all shocks have every series available to purchase.

• Factory: Feature-packed and designed to exceed the demands of our World Cup athletes
• Performance Elite: Same high end features and tunability as Factory, without Kashima Coat
• Performance: Durability, consistency and comfort with simplified adjustments for ease of use
